Preamble

Green Growth (GG) and the Green Economy (GE) are key elements of the emerging global consensus on Sustainable Development. Several issues have emerged regarding these concepts: the promise and prospects they hold, and the possible challenges they may entail. The Centre for Sustainable (CESDEV), University of Ibadan hereby invites nominations to participate in the four-day intensive leadership course. The objective of the course is to build and strengthen capacities of current and future leaders on issues in green growth, green economy and sustainable development.

The target participants are: Policy-makers, State Honourable Commissioners in charge of Environment and Sanitation, Health, Agriculture, Tourism, Commerce and Industries, Urban and Physical Planning, Economic Planning, Rural Development, Chief Executive Officers of State Agencies/Parastals responsible for the above-listed subject matters, Senior Directors who work with the Honourable Commissioners, CEOs of Agencies/Parastatals,  Private and Multinational Organizations, Universities, and Research Institutions.

Time:  9:00am daily

Venue: CESDEV Suite, University of Ibadan Centre for Sustainable Development, 20 Obafemi Awolowo Avenue, Bodija, Ibadan, Ibadan

Registration Fee: Cost of participation is One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000) only covering training materials (hard and electronic), refreshments, full lunch, guided tour, and certificate of participation.
